What wyper is
Two products, one licence key. Social Cleanup removes posts, replies, likes, reposts, comments, followers and direct messages from your own X and Instagram accounts and deletes ChatGPT conversations in bulk. It runs entirely inside your logged-in browser tab: no OAuth grant, no server that holds your account, permissions limited to storage and activeTab.
AI Fact-Check takes a claim, a page, a screenshot or a video and returns a score from 1 to 10 with the sources it is based on. Two models with different training (Google Gemini and xAI Grok) read the same evidence, and their disagreement is shown rather than averaged away. It exists as a Chrome extension, as a web app that also runs on phones, and as the X bot @Wyper_check, which answers when someone mentions it under a post.

The product is built and run by Sandro G., developer and founder. There is no marketing team and no sales team. Support mail goes to the person who wrote the code.
How it is built, said plainly
wyper is developed with AI assistance. The code, the tests and much of this website were written together with AI coding tools, reviewed and deployed by the developer. We say this because a fact-checking product that hid how it was made would deserve the distrust it got.
What that looks like in practice: every deployment runs a regression suite of more than 200 checks against the live backend, the extensions pass Chrome Web Store review on every release, and security findings from independent scans are closed and documented. Where we found our own mistakes, we wrote them up, for example in the product update on Community Notes and video.

What we do not do
- We do not filter sources by origin. A Community Note, a newsroom, a government document and a forum post are all sources with a visible author type; the reader decides what to trust.
- We do not sell or analyse user data. Cleanup never sees your account; Fact-Check sends the text or link you chose to check and nothing else.
- We do not claim features we lack. Social Cleanup has no date filter, no export and no archive import, and the comparison pages say so.
- We do not use OAuth for cleanup. That is a deliberate architecture choice, not a missing feature.

We state this openly because transparency about how a fact-checking tool is made is part of being checkable. Every release runs a regression suite of more than 200 checks and passes Chrome Web Store review.
Does wyper get my password or account access?
No. Social Cleanup runs inside your own logged-in browser tab and asks for the storage and activeTab permissions only; there is no OAuth grant and no server that holds your account. Fact-Check sends only the text, link, image or video you chose to check to our API, nothing about your accounts.
How can I check whether wyper's verdicts are any good?
Read the published measurements: the quote study with 633 real cases, the source-reach study, the AI-text study and the error-rate page. Every check a user shares goes to a public proof ledger with its sources, and disputed verdicts are listed in a public log. If you find an error, write to support@wyper.io; corrections are published.
